Invitation

Dear Sir/Madam,

The Małopolska Region’s  local government has a wealth of experience in supporting sporting activities, recreation and tourism. We are therefore delighted – for the third time – to be able to invite you to the European Congress of Sport and Tourism. 

Our main goal is an active and healthy community in Małopolska, as well as creating conditions for the development of sport and the widespread undertaking of physical activity at every stage of life. The development of sports infrastructure is also one of our priorities. Therefore, in addition to regional forms of support in the sphere of physical culture, The Małopolska Region will cooperate with the Ministry of Sport and Tourism as part of the Programme for the Development of Sport Infrastructure in Voivodships. 

During the last Olympic Games in Paris, the Polish team won 10 medals, half of which were won by athletes from the Małopolska Region. We are very proud of this, which is why during the III Congress, under the motto Sport for the Future, we want to focus on topics related to the organisation of the Summer Olympic Games in our country, as well as the sporting activation of children and young people, thus continuing our regional tradition of Polish sport ambassadors.

Together with the organisers, we want to hold regular debates in Małopolska on the development of European sport and tourism. Many important and difficult issues require a broad and systematic discussion with the participation of people who are interested in the development of these areas and have a real impact on their functioning.

We hope that you will enjoy this year’s programme and learn about our experience and achievements in the fields of sport and tourism. We are looking forward to seeing you in Zakopane, a place of special importance in Polish sport, tourism and recreation.
