Ireneusz Raś
Secretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism
A politician, historian by education, and an experienced local government official, Member of the Polish Parliament (Sejm) in the V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, and X terms.
In 1997, he graduated from the Department of History at the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Kraków.
From 1999 to 2002, he served as the director of the Office of the President of Kraków, Professor Andrzej Gołasia. Simultaneously, from 1998 to 2005, he held the position of Chairman of District VI Bieńczyce in Kraków. Between 2002 and 2005, he served as a City Councilor in Kraków.
In 2005, he ran for the Sejm from the Civic Platform list and has continuously held the parliamentary mandate since then. His activities focus on issues related to administration, internal affairs, as well as physical culture, sport, and tourism. He has served three terms as the Chairman of the Committee on Physical Culture, Sport, and Tourism. In the 2023 elections, he was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Third Way list. In December 2023, he was appointed Secretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.
