Born on December 8, 1982, in Kraków, Łukasz Czapla is one of the most accomplished Polish sport shooters. He has been actively involved in shooting since 1998 and joined the national team in 1999, where he has remained ever since. Czapla is the most decorated athlete in the history of Polish sport shooting, with 33 medals from European and World Championships across all age categories. Among his achievements, he has earned 9 World Championship titles, 5 European Championship titles, and over 40 national titles in Poland. He ranks 4th in the world in terms of World Championship multi-medals, a ranking established since 1878.

In addition to his athletic career, Łukasz Czapla is the founder of the Petarda Kraków Sports Club and serves as both its coach and president. He holds a master’s degree in pedagogy from the University of Zielona Góra.
