Local Government Activity
He was a local government councilor in the 2014-2018 term and served as Vice Chairman of the Zakopane City Council.

In April 2024, he was elected Mayor of Zakopane. He was an independent candidate, supported by the “Friendly Zakopane” committee. He is the youngest mayor in the history of Zakopane.

Education
He studied Hotel Management at the Swiss Hotel Management School.
He also graduated from the Kraków School of Business at the University of Economics, studied professional communication at Clark University in the United States, and completed studies in hotel management and event management at the University of Derby in the United Kingdom.
He has completed management courses at the American Hotel & Lodging Association and a course for members of supervisory boards.

Professional Career
Łukasz Filipowicz is an entrepreneur in the tourism industry. He gained professional experience working and training in prestigious resorts in Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Poland. He later became an entrepreneur and the director of the FIAN Resort in Zakopane.

Private Life
Łukasz Filipowicz is married and has four children. His interests include motoring, psychology, economics, and travel.
