Monika Pyrek-Rokita

Vice President of the Polish Athletic Association

A four-time Olympian and long-time representative of Poland in pole vaulting. Over the course of her career, she broke the Polish record in her signature event nearly 70 times. Alongside Anna Rogowska, she was one of the pioneers of women’s pole vaulting in Poland.
She stood on the podium at major international championships on ten occasions — from winning silver at the World Junior Championships in 1998, through gold at the European U23 Championships in 2001, to multiple medals at senior European and World Championships.

After retiring from competitive sports, she worked in radio and has been actively engaged in promoting youth sports development, organizing a variety of athletic events and competition series.
Since autumn 2024, she has been serving as Vice President of the Polish Athletic Association.
