Wacław Kranowski

President of the Board of the Polish Masters Athletics Association

Born on January 19, 1951. A graduate of the Faculty of Law at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.

He worked professionally for over 40 years and has been retired since 2017.

Athletics has always been close to his heart—he trained in athletics during high school and university.

Since 1992, he has been a member of the Polish Masters Athletics Association and has served continuously as its President since 2002.

Since 1995, he has participated in every edition of the Masters World and European Championships. He has won a total of 44 medals at these events. This year, in Gainesville, Florida, he earned two silver and one bronze medal.

Each year, he organizes several national championship-level competitions. In 2015 and 2024, he organized the European Indoor Championships in Toruń, and in 2019 and 2023, the World Indoor Championships.
In 2026, Toruń will once again host the European Indoor Championships.
